Huddersfield to Wakefield

Decided to do a long day to get to Wakefield for the evening. After a visit to Sainsburys we set off down the Huddersfield Broad Canal for Cooper Bridge. Here we turned right to go down the Calder and Hebble.

Stopped for lunch at the Navigation in Mirfield but their restaurant was not open. So after a pint we went back to the boat for a cheese sandwich.

At Dewsbury we did not do the town branch to save time.

Moored In Wakefield near the reidential moorings near Fall Ings lock again. We went first to Fernades Brewery Tap to see what that was like. It reminded me of the Leggers at Dewsbury. Then to Wetherspoons for a meal, and then to Harrys Bar. This was rather disappointing so we went back to Fernandes, where we had an excellent stout of theirs.
